Iridium Communications is American Public company.
Iridium operates a system of 66 active satellites used for worldwide voice and data communication.
The Iridium network is unique in that it covers the whole planet, including poles, oceans and airways. The satellites are in six polar low Eart orbital planes at a height of approx. 780 km.
